Duff Wiper Arm & Aero Blades

Featured Replies

I've noticed some serious rust bubbles forming on my drivers side wiper arm joint, the passenger side is on its way too which I'm a little disappointed about with the car being the age it is. I'm planning on replacing them just to tidy it up if nothing else.

I've heard a great deal of talk about retro fit aero blades and was wondering if they are as good as people say they are? I can't imagine them looking great on a vRS but I'm hoping somebody will prove otherwise with a picture or two!

Any idea of the part numbers for the wiper arms too?

I have retro-fit aero blades, and I find them excellent, I get them from Aceparts.com

You can get the retro fit ones from the stealers at around £20 per pair. Which is about the same price as a set of normal Bosch ones with the spoiler on the drivers blade and curved one for the passenger side.

With both can you just replace the rubber blade once they're duff?

You just replace the blade, not the whole arm.

The dealer retrofit ones clip on in place of the standard blade.

Cool presumably you have to go to a vw dealer for them? Now all i need is a replacement wiper arm!

If you are going to replace the wiper arms, why not change to the later type that accept the proper aero blades?

Someone may correct me here, but I assume that the arms from the Octavia are the same as those for the MkIV Golf/Bora, the later ones of those had Aero blades as standard.
