Hello out there :)

Now I'm having a big problem. My felly shakes and rattles in idle. So I checked some values but I'm not able to interpret them.

Please help me:

Idle controller

ought = ca. 21 Ohm

Is = 10,5 Ohm

Idle switch

open:

ought = unendlich

Is = unendlich

closed:

ought = 0

Is = 0

Throttle-Potentiometer:

Clamp 1 and. 5

ought = ca 840 Ohm

Is = 1,05 kOhm

clamp 2 u. 5 (throttle closed)

Soll = 1325 Ohm

Ist = 1885 Ohm

clamp 4 and 5 (throttle closed)

Soll = 1665 Ohm

Ist = 2000 Ohm

clamp 4 and 5. (throttle open)

ougth = 1040 Ohm

Is = 2160 Ohm

After that I resetted the controller by disconnecting the batteries negative lead for 15 minutes. After that I started the engine and let it run for 5 and than took a little ride. The issue is still the same. Vibrates and shakes, but a bit less BUT that was fact before the procedure... Sometimes it was good sometimes not. But what I saw when the engine idled for 5 min... The exhaust brougt some litte white clouds out... Head gasket or just condensation water? After the little ride no clouds came out. Pleas help me.

Best regards from Germany :)

You need to establish if the engine is running on all 4 cylinders or not...and if not which of the cylinders the engine isn't running on.

ALL cylinders are running.

Last night I was driving on the motorway and it rained. At a hill (3 km with 8%) i recognized a loss of power (only 90 kmh in the 4. instead of 110 in the 5.)... Something must be wrong. Maybe it is better to replace the Throttle unit.

Is it spi or mpi? You need to start with the basics first, ie ,leads,cap and rotor arm if spi, plugs, valve clearances, all electrical connections and fuel filter

is an SPI and the problem seems to be solved.

The throttle positioning module is broken AND the catalytic converter is blocked.
