Windscreen seal

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've just had my wiper linkage and motor replaced. Obviously, when this is being done, the plastic cover between the bonet and the windscreen needs to be removed. Now this is all back on, I am left with a rubber seal that is still attached to the plastic cover, but no longer stuck to the windscreen.

Should this be stuck down, and if so, what am I best sticking it with?

No it shouldn't be stuck down. It's basically there to make the transition from plastic to glass to look acceptable. The windscreen is bonded to the body all the way around with an adhesive, so it shouldn't leak.

Excellent, thank you!

You'll proberbly find that over a period of time, it all settles down to how its supposed to be.
