Should I be concerned about...

Featured Replies

Keeping in mind i'm not exactly mechanically minded:

Someone puncture repaired one of these hoses? Its actually over the top of some rubber keeping the 2 hoses together... not sure if it was punctured what it went through... or is this normal?

also coming out the back of the battery top fuse box thingy, theres this random thin brown wire that goes into a tube of other wires a bit further down... should this be protected a bit better??

They've both probably been there since day one, but still I thought i'd best ask!

I doubt if the yellow patch is a puncture repair, more likely to be a colour code sticker at a guess.

looks like a pikey fix with a bike repair kit lol you're probably right though :) Thought i'd of noticed it before

i had the brown wire like that...

no yellow thing tho :)

can't say I've ever noticed a yellow patch like that on my car.

I would be kind of worried also becuase they lines feed into your fuel filter so I'm guessing theres fuel in them. If thats the case and the seal was to burst you could have problems!

Ive never seen yellow bicycle repair patches. Are you sure its not just a sticky label ?

Its not as sticky label, i've repaired enough bicycle inner tubes to recognize a repair style patch. I've had pink, yellow, blue ones before lol never seen one in an engine bay before though

Its an oval bit of rubber thats been bonded on afterwards, can see around the edges where the rubber has flexed and its left an outline where the bonding once was.

bit worried now!

I would have thought if its got a hole in it just repair with a hose joiner. You would probably not need a new hose.

that yellow thing is funny man! it looks to me that it is stuck onto a sleeve that is there to protect your fuel hose from damage from rubbing etc. dont be worried stay goin till you stop.

i'd be more unhappy about the shiny silver screw holding the air filter box together, all the ones i've seen are colour coded black
