Octy vRS Spark Plugs

Featured Replies

Have had the car Revo'd should I change the spark plugs, car has done 4k miles from new. The reason I ask is that I have a very very slight hesitation on part throttle and was wondering if it could be sparkplug related

Cheers

They shouldnt need changing till the 20k service if I recall. Your slight hesitation could be caused by a number of things, if you know someone with vag-com get them to check for fault codes, or visit your dealer and get them to do the same.

Don't worry about the plugs mate. I know I've suggested this before but you're in the midlands, why not pop to JBS? They know Revo inside out if this is still worrying you.

To be honest I think I am being a bit over critical, like I said a very very slight blip in the power delivery on light throttle. Been talking to the guy's on seatcupra.net and it seems quite common even on unchipped cars. Don't want to mess with the car and make it worse if you know what I mean, thought the plugs may help :o

Would like to go in another chipped car to see how that feels, or even get someone to come with me in my car........maybe a mini meet??? :D

where in the midlands are you mate?we have very similar cars and tonight i've been to manchester and back for a meet(160 mile round trip).

btw i'm not stalking you between here and cupra net ;)

Rugby area most of the time, Derby area at weekends, never been stalked before

Perhaps an opportunity for new members to read the past post below about Denso Iridium spark plugs which a few members with tuned cars have tried.

I did get them in the end and with hindsight they were a bit of a waste of time and money. Not a lot of money but money none the less. Slight improvement but nothing to write home about. Then again, I had a Super****e too so anything would make that feel good.

First thing JBS did was throw them away and fit standard ones.

40k for standard plugs btw chaps.

Do I take it that's a big NO to Iridiums? :(

More a sort of indifference to Iridiums :(
