Re Help another mystified Skodian.

Featured Replies

I just wanted to thank all the people who replied to my battery drain problem. It was solved in the end. A bent pin on the ECU mutiplug, done when the vehicle was being cured of a fault under warranty from a now defunct main dealer ( thanks Williams Skoda, Bristol! ). This tiny pin cost me over £500 in time, batteries, unnecessarily replaced alternator, not to mention my own time and energy. Anyway all is well that ends well, it wasn't the car's fault, just some rushing 'mechanic'.

I don't know if there are any relevent auto related morals to this story. The only one I can think of is one an old friend of mine used to say ( he was something of a cynic ), please forgive the coarse nature of this, it went......'never trust any f******g ****'. Simple and often true.

Thanks again to the people who keep this a good place to visit.

Paul

Thanks for posting the solution. Some mechanics eh :rotz:

And who found this Bent Pin fault for you? He's a clever geezer. Glad it's all sorted now.
