Here is a bit of the write up they for on MKIV forums

Well after having these on for just over 2 weeks and giving them time to bed in and me time to get used to them, I can say they are a worthwhile upgrade!

Much better than 312's but without the pinsharp response my old 312's had, however I let a mate of mine who's had his Golf for years have a drive and he said he has always had about the same amount of pedel travel as mine did with these on, even with his standard brakes when he first got the car.

He's now running my old Brembo junior GT kit and rated these lambo calipers as about the same in terms of performance, As a price comparison he paid £500 for the GT kit, without discs. And the full GT kit new is over £1000 these days.

I took the car out one morning on the way home from work (2.30am) and did about 7 high speed stops before I felt any noticeable fade, And that was from some naughty speeds, And thats using the cheapest fluid I could find.

I'd say the pedel travel was the only downside for me, at an estimate, i'd say there is about an inch of travel before they start to bite, but as I said above my mates 1.8T has always been like that even with standard brakes, maybe there is some natural variation between cars, I don't know?

Bet they're expensive, and on some scroats shopping list.

Work out at about £500 excluding fitting for the full kit.

Very common brakes and are fitted to so many cars.

What else they on then?

They look similar to some I've seen on a VW Touareg.

Not the Touareg. E38 735i amongst some other (much more exotic) cars :D

Just saw some sporty new Alfa 159 estate in the carpark with red 4 pots that look like these.....

I guess anything will fit assuming you have enough space and the right brackets.

I've only had them since July. So just taken 6 months to get them fitted. Need to get longer bolts for the carriers and all done.
