Radio code?

Featured Replies

Just fitted my handsfree kit so ovbiously the hu asks for the code. Just noticed my service book hasn't been put back in the car. Is there anything I can do? Is there some database somewhere?

Cheers

The code is usually on a sticker on the inside cover of the radio manual, otherwise it's a trip to a dealer.

I thought the sticker would be in the service book?

I'm going by the books for the Wifes' Fabia 1.4mpi and the code is in the book titled Skoda car radio. On my Octavia you don't seem to get a code as I believe it's stored in the ECU. I have had the radio out ot fit a handsfree kit & no code was required.

I thought the radio was 'paired' to the ECU, so no code required provided it matches the car. Not 100% sure of that though, as I use a memory saver than plugs into the ciggy socket if I need to disconnect the battery.

Nothing in the audio book :(

Some radios require the up/don/fast forward rocker to be used. Uee the store code button shown in your manual but DONOT try and enter a code. The radio should then wake.
