Alo everyone... Greetings from Malaysia and i'm so glad to join such a big community who loves SKODA...

Welcome to Briskoda from a fellow Fabia owner. :D

Hi.

I'll bet a Skoda is expensive there? I went on holiday there in 2005 and was told there's a very high import tax on cars.

Welcome :)

Thanks guys for the WARM welcome...

Here in MALAYSIA skoda is not received so well :( since the Sales & Service Network is not expansive enough, hence the volume of sales is very low...

if you visit www.skoda.com.my then you would know what i mean. Yes, the price is extremely expensive... we still don't have the new FABIA and old fabia was selling for RM105k then ( British Pounds 1 = $RM 5.82) approximately 18k pounds ( to pay for a little good car like SKODA FABIA)

Mine is used unit got it for RM35.5k, manufactured in the year 2003 but registered in the year 2005. Done 24k in mileage and still looks good.

Here we can hardly see any SKODA's running around. It would be so difficult to see one, hence nothing much we know about them. But i simply love them.

Really hope u guys here can help me out ! Cherios!

Hey dun worry much i drive a skoda 1.4 also in Malaysia... would love to hang around ... No doubt is pretty much expensive in MLY due to the import tax... but what can say it was a rigid cars.. compare to those Jap cars... Fabia are much more good handling than those small cars like Honda Jazz (fit) Toyota Passo (in Malaysia Perodua Myvi)...

drop me a mail if we can hang out for the car chat...

Welcome! :wavey:
