Skoda Germany - Yeti

Featured Replies

Just been looking at the Yeti prices and specifications in Germany, all models get ESP and Knee airbag, but in European style all come with a basic radio system and none have an alarm as standard.

Yeti (yes it's the name of the base trim; Yeti Yeti then:confused:) & Active models don't get alloys or air con but otherwise similar to UK E and S models apart from colour coded wing mirrors and Active has tinted glass.

Ambition and Experience are below the standard of the SE and Elegance, only the Experience has electric rear windows, head-light washers, cruise control, for example.

Leather is extra and bizarrely so to Corrida Red paint finish

1.2TSI starts at 17,990 euro to 23,550 euro (available Sept 09 all trim levels)

1.8TSI starts at 23,590 euro to 28,450 euro (available on all but base trim - Yeti)

2.0TDI 140 starts at 27,590 euro to 29,750 euro (available on Ambition and Experience)

Options include:

ISOFIX front passenger seat all trim levels

Off-road function for 4x4

16" spare wheel all trim levels

Rear side airbags

Sunset glass all but base model (not standard as in UK)

Additional underside protection

:)

Interestingly, there's no mention of the panoramic sunroof that I can see in the German specs. (I used the Google Language tools to translate the page, which gave some amusing translations but was still much better than I could achieve myself!)

Snap with the Google, noticed the lack of sunroof too, but you can get cold weather kit if you fancied taking the Yeti into its natural habitat.:snowman:

Went to one of the local dealers here the other day, (in Erfurt at the moment), had a look around a 2.0TDI 4x4 Ambition?, only curently got 1 showroom car, thinks they'll get a demonstrater for test drives in about 3 weeks time.

Overall, a well-packaged car. Ironicaly the factory default for the radio & satnav (Admundsen?) seems to be English, I thought my German was improving, then I realised!

Pricewise, it was only a few hundred Euros less than an Octavia RS 2.0TFSI combi.
