Wheel refurbishment woes!

Featured Replies

My Dad decided to have the wheels on his car refurbished this week. Trouble is now the powder coat is a bit thicker than before, and the wheel weights are hitting the brake calliper! The guy is trying his best to sort the problem out, but what a bummer!!

Heres an old picture showing just how close they are!

Does the badge on the wheels match the car the wheels are on?

Could the wheel weights not just be applied to the inside edge of the wheel?

And what's he got anyway? Is it an old-school Vantage (early 90s era)

Steve

Good grief. What are Aston doing putting wheels over calipers with so little clearence that very slightly thicker powder coat makes them catch. That's mental.

I'd say it's a Virage btw? :)

Its actually the V8 Coupe if you know what one that is? It looks like the Vantage but without the superchargers, so just the 5.3 V8 lol. There were only 101 made. Think its all sorted now though.

Yep, know exactly which one that is :) Built between 96 and 99.

This is a later Le Mans edition, but it's close enough :D

Glad you're sorted
