Can you buy the attachment ends for thule sq bars to mount onto the Scout estate roof bars ? is there a Skoda part number or would I have to buy the complete roof bars complete with ends ( I already have some old bars with the old type mountings )

Yep, just buy a new footpack. Only thing to check is that the old bars are wide enough.

Check it out on Thules website and then google the footpack part no for nice cheap online options.

P.S. If you stick with roof railed cars then you masively reduce the need to change bars or feet. I'm using the same bars and feet now as I did on leaving Uni in '01. Bought off a mate for £25 after he wrapped his parents Fiat Tempra Estate and no longer needed them. They've seen active duty on a Citroen BX Estate, Pug 306 Estate, Mk1 Octavia and now the Scout. Not bad at £6.25/car!

cheers Niall, the bars are actually genuine Skoda ones but look as though they are made by thule, just going off to towsure to buy a 13 pin to 2x7 pin adaptor for the caravan and some wing mirrors. cheers - Stuart.
