Hi everybody

Featured Replies

I'm in the market for a practical (will take 3 child seats in the back), reliable (50 mile daily commute) car that will still put a smile on my face.

Someone suggested an Octavia vRS would fit the bill perfectly.

And this seems to be where the experts are! :)

Welcome:)

Hi there.

I have a octy 1 and can only get 2 child seats in easily. I think it will depend a great deal on the type of seats. Due to the age difference of my kids, I have got two different types of seat and one is quite wide. I think if I had the style of my older child I could squeeze three in but I feel it would be a little tight. Don't want to put you off a vRS though, great car.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

The seats I need to fit in are two of the smaller booster cusion type and one of the 'big' type (if you know what I mean!). It isn't an everyday thing - my wife's Verso does for regular family-hauling. They just about squeeze into my current Mk1 Focus, so as long as the Octavia is no narrower...

Hi no dont buy vrs with 3 car seats buy a superb its a wonderful car the vrs is great but not much room for 3 car seats:thumbup:yes the octavia is quite narrow get yourself a superb with the big v6

Thanks for the suggestion. The thing that puts me off the Mk1 Superb is the fixed rear seats. I find myself carrying large/long items too many times. Unfortunately the Mk2 Superb is beyond my budget

Could someone do me huge favour and measure the armrest to armrest distance across the back of an Mk1 Octavia vRS? I must admit to not having tried to fit 3 seats into one because it felt larger in the back than the Focus.
