Wheels are new, but maybe I have an issue with alignment, I'll have it checked. Thanks kdouris.

its been doing it with the last 3 sets of wheels! lol

So you're suggesting that it is not alignment? What else could cause this?

When I first got my fabia I use to always get the back tried to overtake the front under heavy braking. That was with the oem 288's. It was fun :)

If your brakes are locking up in the wet then I'd says its your tyres.

Hmm, been having this.... discussion without a logical answer on the Seat Cupra forum. My wife has a Leon 1M FR+ TDI, I've got the front & rear brakes from a 225TT to go on (when these pads wear down!) because my view on this is that the standard system is set up (in the Leon's case) for 228's at the front & 256's at the rear, now if I just put the 312's on the front then this surely is going to create an imbalance and make the car feel very 'front heavy' on the brakes? I know that the ABS will stop any locking up but thats hardly what its purpose is, is it? This is why I'm putting the 312's on the front & the 288's on the rear - a proportional increase at the front & rear.

Incidentally I understand about brake bias, etc, I have a Nissan Cherry Turbo which I used to use for road rallies and it has Jag 295mm front discs with Honda Prelude calipers & Mk3 Cavalier discs & calipers ar the rear! The brakes are awesome for such a light car but not until I 'modified' the standard bias/compensator valve... As the bias/compensation on new cars is controlled/set by the ABS unit, doing a similar 'modification' is not really possible.

With regards to your oversteer rallyslag3, well if you've fitted a rear arb and left the front one the same then you will have created some oversteer, for those who enjoy explioting lift off oversteer (:D), braking whilst mid corner just exagerates this, good fun if you're intending to do it, but can be a problem in an emergency situation.... Ideally you shouldn't really brake mid bend, brake on the straights & power through the bends!
