Featured Replies

Neither tele atlas or NAVTEQ, say that they produce or supply the maps for these units, so who does???

I have noticed that there are 2 SD card slots on the front of this unit could someone please explain what they are for, left and right

Please stick a picture up as I am only aware of 1 SD card on a MFD3/Columbus.

The maps are done by Navteq same as BMW although I am guessing they only supply the manufacturers the info and not to customers directly.

So single SD slot then. You can put music on a 2Gb card and use it to transfer to the HDD or as another source.

No, all pics have 1 slot?

Go to the pic further down showing the set with the map you can see 2 sd slots

No you can't. The single SD slot is above the 'SD' symbol.

I think I'm gradually losing the will to live

You have to get the maps from VW/Skoda/Seat/Audi dealer, they are produced by Navteq though. The current version is V4, although V5 is now available at VW. Another way could involve a certain website that uses a ship for its logo whos name I cannot mention on this thread.

Tut, tut, tut - not the sort of thing that should be encouraged, even though the penny failed to drop :rotz:
