Really directed at anyone who has a water meth kit for their car, how do you store the methanol as its rather flamable isnt it? lol.

Do you water it down ready to throw in as soon as you get a batch or just wait till you run out and do some more?

What do you store the mix in, if you do mix it 1st? Normal bottles or?

How flamable would a 30% mix of meth and water be do you think?

Finally where do you order from and how much please

as soon as i bought mine m8 i ordered an extra 25 litre tub and halved it there n then 50/50 mix

with p+p £26 for 25 litres and that was an extra £2 for the other 25l container

mines in the shed at the mo-50 litres will or should last a while lolcheers

When mixing with water do you wear any form of mask or just a case of poor it in, dont spill any and seal it back up ready for use?

i suppose less smoke m8 but it gave 6 bhp on the rollers for now until i get it re-mapped by jabbasport to its full potential:thumbup:

Just keep flames away from it. I have a 230 litre drum and use trade oil 25 litre tough plastic bottles with screwcaps, and a 5 litre bottle for mixing it up. Try not to get it on your fingers / in your eyes as it's not nice stuff. I don't mind getting it on my skin, but it leaves a "warm" glow No need to worry about mixing it - I just chuck in water, then top up with methanol. Have a funnel set to help avoid spillages.

Not sure it will cut back on smoke. Methanol IS a fuel don't forget. The water might really help though.

Mate's garage. I use the trade oil 25 litre pots they get in, once empty it's a great methanol container.

Is there any limits on how much Methanol you can legally store? I know for petrol it is 10 litres (5l x2) in plastic and 20 litres (10l x2) in metal containers. There are no regs for Diesel as it's used for heating.

I agree, keep it away from flames/fire. The problem with methanol is it burns with an invisible flame so you don't know its on fire, (this learned from training for Race Marshalling).

Yeah, read up on it and its pretty much colour-less (Sp?!) and doesnt even smell so ive been told.

Nah - tap water is fine (and cheaper ). The pump on my W/M system will munch about anything. I confirmed this before I bought it so I knew I'd only be paying for the methanol and diluting 50/50 with a free resource.

Is this the same for any kit then?

Don't know, but I got a specific nod in regard to the Snow Performance stuff. If you plan to use the Devilsown kit I would speak to one of their reps first.
