I was out getting some lunch when I saw what I thought was a MK 1 Polo parked outside the shop. However when I had a closer look it had an Audi Badge and the number 50 on its back???? Did Audi make a version of the original Polo?

This car caught my attention because when I was very small my granda drove a bright green Mk 1 Polo.

The Polo and the Audi 50 were indeed the same car. The Audi version being much rarer of the 2.

And very sought after by the Classic VAG show goers.

If my Polo Mk 1 was anything to go by, they'd be searching for a lot of rust....
