fuel pressure

Featured Replies

The ad says to mount near the tank ( a 'push' pump ) which means at the front of the S100 and below tank outlet level, which is almost the lowest point on the car - tricky. There must be a 'pull' type in the Facet catalogue ?

Workshop manual quotes 30 litres/hour at 2000 pump lever strokes (cam revolutions) per minute for the standard pump, if that helps decide !

i dunno about pull type pumps i assumed it would be able to pull the fuel to it by the pressure drop from pushing fuel out, i was planning to mount it on the wheel arch where the coil is. If i could mount it lower could it just work off a gravity feed?

Or could i leave the mechanical pump on the engine and let it pull the fuel to it then go through the electric pump to get it up to the engine?

mine is mounted near the brake cylinders and runs at about 3psi at the carb end, but you need a regulator at the carb end to get this. Is the car std?
