First aid kit and map DVD

Featured Replies

Hi All

My first post here.

Just taken delivery of a 170 CR Elegance and it came without a first aid kit in the boot or a DVD for the sat nav (maps are loaded on the HDD).

Dealer assures me this is standard practice ... anyone know differently ?

First aid kit is always an extra item that the dealer sells you if you need one. Best transfer one from your old car if it is not out of date. (like mine)

I got the navigation DVD with my owners manual after the dealer loaded it up during the PDI.

They should give you the SatNav DVD, better check that you got you're umbrella as well

I didnt get the sat nav dvd either......not too worried but wonder why the dealer has kept it. Will they be selling them on ebay? :)

You will regret not having the DVD, because if for some reason you need to reset the nav unit using the menus then the map data is erased from the HD and needs reloading from the original DVD. The disk should have been supplied with the nav unit. I believe when the car is ordered, the disk needs to be added as an extra item, its FOC as long as the car has a nav system and is new.
