Anyone know please how i go about changing the gearbox oil on the fabia vrs? i Know the oil is 75w 90 semi and i will need 2-3 litres of it.

I searched on here but theres no guides.

There is no need to change the gearbox oil.

if you must change it , a special tool is required to remove the drain and fill plugs

hi, just came back to say, I got my gear box oil changed lastweek. Replaced it with Fuchs. And man, what a big difference!

All the gears are so much smoother now and I'm able to change up/down much quicker. the "notchyness" is appreciably less. I noticed the difference immediately and was quite taken aback at what a simple(labour wise) and cheap bit of maintenance can do.

going to be changing it every year from now on.

I know alot of people will say there's no need to change gearbox oil, but i'm going to have to disagree as the hard results speak for themself.

I replaced mine with Fuchs titan supersyn and it's sheeeeite, baulking badly in 2nd when cold, can't wait to get around to replacing it, this time with Syntrax

As for the special tool, there's one in your boot, called a locking wheel nut key, if you drill the centre to take the pin in the box plug..............
