I was just wondering if anyone is intending on going to the VW festival at Harewood house this year ?

Thanks for the head up! Me and my GF wanted to visit Harewood House ever since we moved to Leeds not long ago, but we thought the admission is too expensive (14 pounds per adult).

Now it is 9 pounds for the VW Festival including access to the house seems petty good value for a fun day out.

Or is the display area pre-booked only?

Well, I've just had another look at the website it seems to imply that it's pre-book only.

Obviously VW owners are much more organised than us Skoda lot!

There was a Briskoda display in 2005, as I was part of it.

Looks like there won't be one this year though!

There was one in 2007 as well , thats the first year I went down , didnt make it this year though.

Was a good day. This is becoming my favourite show of the year now.

Much more people/cars than the last time I was there & plenty of stuff for the kids to do.

I was there and have to agree the show keeps getting better.

Even took the little one n she cant wait til next year already.

Was a good show.

First time I have been and will be back.

The coolest thing I ever saw at the show, was 2 girls (probably 4 or 5 years old) zooming around in a petrol powered mini version of Herbie! It had an old skool picnic hamper on the back.

I got a pic of them somewhere.

I thought it would have been a little pedal or electric thing.

Once i saw it whizz by be i was amazed.

The kids were out of controll though, foot flat and parent shouting.

Haha.

SWMBO couldn't stop laughing at the little tear-aways driving it!
