Passenger window

Featured Replies

Hi, this morning i got in to my car and tried to get the passenger window down, but nothing happened. It just seems totally dead, i've tried both buttons, to no joy. I cant here any noise from the motor either. Can anyone assist. Cheers

I guess all other electrics are OK so how about disconnecting the battery then reconnecting again. Other than that check fuses before hauling the motor out.

cheers soot1e, i will do that this afternoon.

Could be a couple of things

Switch , convenience ecu , or motor

But I believe there is a motor for each window , but i could be wrong

May be worth getting a check done

Good news, i got home from work, opened up the fuse box, swapped aroound some of the 25A fuses and WALA! its working again. thanks people. If someone is having similar issues i suggest you try doing this first before looking at opening up other parts.

by the way, the original fuse for that window was not blown, so not really sure why swapping with the fuses helped.

i had a motor go in my passenger side so it might be worth getting cheaked out

By pulling the fuse to the controller, you interrupted power and reset it. It would seem to have been a gremlin rather than something more serious!
