Is this the correct garrett turbo for a furby vrs?

Featured Replies

The model of the turbocharger itself is right but it's for the later 2.0 16v diesel engine so i'm guessing the manifold would be different.

Doh almost! lol

I thought the standard Furby vRS turbo was made by KKK and not Garrett. However I'm sure I have read on here garages have fitted Garrett ones.

The 2.0 turbos will not fit the 1.9 head.

Also the downpipe fitment is different,

yea the 16V block is not the same and so that wont bolt on..... and yes all fabias had KKK's I have only seen garrets on the SDI units pre 2003, but some people might have seen them on other cars, they do fit but somtimes need a small ajustment to fit.

Didnt realise SDI's had turbos otherwise they'd be TDI ;)

Read on here that a few people use the garrett ones and rate them higher. I don't really know tbh just weighing up costs etc. because i'm insane and worry too much :)

lol what the hell was i drinking when i typed that???? was supporsed to put golfs not TDI lol

Yea if your turbo goes then you can replace with a Garret but as for them being stronger??? I am not to sure about that VW stopped using KKK as they became more expensive not because of the turbos blowing up.

Yeah, never really understood the attitude some people have on here towards KKK. If they weren't any good, Porsche wouldn't fit them on their cars, right?
