Had a test drive, now I want one !

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I currently own a Fabia 1.4 8valve, which was my wifes from new, and I inherited from her about a year ago.

Had a test drive of the Fabia vRS yesterday, and what a laugh - I think I have to have one !

This messageboard is a great source of information, Ive already looked up stuff like 'scotchguard' 'ESP' 'Xenons' and 'MSR' to work out what I want on the car.

So far the spec is :

-Black magic paint

-Xenons

-ESP (I like to drive quite hard)

-Cruise

The local dealer told me they dont do cruise on the vRS ! Although the new brochure is a little confusing.

I think I will probably order from drivethedeal.com, as there seems to be some good reports, and the initial quote gives a discount of

Cruise is an option - i have it on mine.

Yeah, my wife got hers last week..12weeks to arrive because of the options..

side airbags

xenons

cd autochanger (which we thought had been forgotten as the changer is under the seat not in the boot) & the unit is still the single cd player in the dash)

black paint

So Xmas will be about right for your's

charles.

Personally wouldn't bother with ESP - I leave the traction control off all the time.

ColinD has similar thoughts on ESP in the snow as me.

Like Martha said cruise is an option from new but it can also be added after (have a seach on this site). ;)

Cruise IS an option.

It might be worth, cruising this site to put a few more awkward questions, to see if your dealer know what he is talking about and is worth sticking with once you have bought it.

Sounds like the dealer is trying to sell you the car from stock that hasn't got cruise, as the others above my car has factory fitted cruise.
