Copying Music to HDD with 2gb SD Card

Featured Replies

All,

Has anyone devised a smooth way to copy music to the columbus HDD. I know I can copy the files or folders directly but it gets very disorganised. I initally put folders on the SD (Easy Listening, Rock, Chart, Full Albums etc) and copied the music to the card and copied the folders to the HDD. The intention was that I would empty the folders on the SD as there is only 2gb available and put new music in the folders and copy the folder onto the HDD. In windows the new music would be merged with the stuff already there but the columbus seems to want to delete the old folder on hdd and copy the one from the SD Card.

Has anyone come up with a better solution while giving some form of organisation.

The only way I have found is to go into each subfolder and then copy those folders into the appropriate place on the HDD.

Its a real pain it took me most of a Saturday to transfer around 8gb of music doing 1gb at a time , mine wont recognise the 2gb cards i have

It will however copy off a DVD disc loaded with mp3 files do i just bought a load of audiobooks off ebay and transferred those across
