Octy vRS

Just wondering if any of you Guys could help. Can the passenger airbag be switched off for reasons of putting a baby in the front seat on a Octy vRS?

Is it a case of just taking the fuse out??

Depends on the age of your RS, some have a key switch in the glovebox, otherwise its a trip to the dealer and they can disable it with the diag tool, otherwise pull the fuse and stare at the airbag warning light forever more.

Out of interest, where exactly would this key swith be within the glove compartment (not able look right now ) and from what model year would this feature have been available?

Think the key switch is an option, I know it is on the Fabia.

But yes the passenger airbag should be able to be decoded with diag equipment. It will then pulse the airbag light when you first turn on the ignition to warn you that its offline.

However dont pull the fuse, that also disables your airbag.

Thanks for help guys. My RS is a 2002 model, so I think it's a trip down the dealers as I have no switch in the glovebox. Just pleased it can be switched off
