in the final straight of my everylasting gearbox repair skoda uk withdrew the offer of free parts on my repair on the basis of a delay which they attribute to myself, the delay is as follows:-

when the dealer ordered my gearbox they informed me that my original gearbox had to be re-built as the company supplying(spelling) the replacement wouldn't accept a box of bits, they offered to build it for me but at a cost of around

so what i want to know is who do you think is at fault?

Surely it doesn't really matter what any of us think...what does your dealer think, and have you voiced these concerns to them?

Rob.

Did you authorise the work and agree to their charges? If not tell them you're not paying and they can accept the payment originally agreed or put the car back to how it was and you'll go elsewhere.

eddy - we agreed that i would pay labour and no more unless additional work was needed and i have alreadt told them that i ain't paying for the parts as they have already promised to pay for them. just gonna keep argueing and leave the car there, its really annoying me that they did this
