Featured Replies

Hi this is my first post.

I have a skoda octavia vrs with the 6 speaker system. i want to change all speakers and the head unit now what size will fit into the front as i have a set of jl audio csi 650 i think they are 6.5 with tweeters now will these fit straight in to the speaker pods and also the tweeters ones, will i be able to use the exsiting wires. Also how would i replace the fronts can i just pop off the speaker grille.

Also what size are the rears and do they have tweeters with them or built in if so where, can someone recommend some speakers. Would i be right in saying they just unscrew and i use the exsiting wires.

any help would be great

Welcome to the mad house :D

I know nowt about ICE but someone will be along to help you out shortly no doubt.

I think you'll find it's got 8 speakers.......

2 sets of components: woofers in bottom of front doors (16.5 cm) and rear beside the parcel shelf (13 cm), 1 set of tweeters by the door mirrors, 1 set of teweeters rear doors (by the door handles)

Also how would i replace the fronts can i just pop off the speaker grille.

The grills just pop of with gentle pressure. One of mine blew up when i tried to get it back on  it was really brittle for some reason.

you might find that they don't fit to big at the back so you wil have to remove the door panel and cut out the hole to fit but then it might hit the window arm as it lowers your best bet is to buy some infinity 625i speakers fit straight in and you only need to cut the blocks of the old speakers and hey presto!!!.but be carefull with the speaker cover i cracked mine too:eek: .You can buy the speakers from Halfords approx

Hi do they come with tweeters if not what would you advise about those

also soorry to sound stupid but what is the block i need to cut

  • 2 weeks later...

The block referenced above is the standard factory connector block, the replacement speakers come with spade connector terminals. You could get adapter leads if you don't want to cut those, try looking on autoleads site.
