Car going in for 40k service next week at main dealers. Ive had a knocking coming from the rear for a while now,, is there an easy way for me to check what it may be ?? Id like to ask the dealers to check whatever it is under warranty.

I thought I had a knocking from the rear, howeverI turn my head to look in the back when I know it's going to make the noise and it comes fro the front!

so maybe ask someone to sit in the back and ask if they can still hear the noise

what was the knocking chris? ive got the same i thought it was the rear but a mechanic friend says its the front.

is the knocking sound when you break, or change gear?

if so, have you had thr brake calipers off recently? it may be that the screws have been cross threaded. this is what happened with mine.

Car been in and out of dealers now,, it was a droplink,, again. Have to say dealers at Bannockburn have always been great with me ,,40k service and cam belt done for 400.
