Barrowford Agricultural show has a vintage/classic car section and being just over the road from me I entered the Rallye Golf.

And bugger me, came 2nd, won a "silver" salver in a presentation box.

A bit embarrasing really, I thought most of the 5 other cars were better than mine. Certainley the totally original 1962 Austin A40 and the Lagonda with a hand built custom sports body.

The winner was a 1934 Aston Martin, must have been worth a few quid.

mate, thats one mint looking rallye and your car is worthy of the prize by the look of it! It's equally as rare as some of the cars you mention!

Is it heavily modded? brakes look upgraded?
