VRS Seats

Featured Replies

Right, the gf has an 04 plate VRS and the driver front seat has one of the wires starting to show through. It's difficult to explain, but i assume it's part of the skeleton of the seat but it's not padded there anymore, as if it's just been moved slightly. Not sure exactly what it is. Is this sort of thing fixable? What is the going rate for a 'seat' for a VRS (it's non leather). Also can you get the covers separately and fitted? I'd get a leather re-trim but she doesn't like the leather seats. And tbf I think they hug you better while driving too.

She wants a new car, but at 103k miles I still think it drives better than my 57 plate SE. I even offered her a trade:O but she was having none of it.

I managed to get a 'nearly new' set of covers from someone on here who'd had a retrim - try a post in 'Items Wanted'. You'd probably have to go to an upholsterer to get the padding sorted, though.

Im sure there is a part number for the seat cover off skoda, under 20 quid if i remember, don't know how much to get fitted

Or click here

My mum replaced the base of her front seat with the standard Skoda covers. I believe the steeler charged £120 for both the top and bottom covers.

Do you mean the seat frame ? It goes up into the bolster to support it ?

If so, mine has done the same, skoda dealer doesn't want to know. Seems a bit off when the car has only done 36k. Thinking of a leather retrim so will get it looked at then, unless a seat base can be obtained from skoda.

I had just the base padding replaced in mine (56 plate had about 85K on it at the time i think), done at main dealer. Can't remember how much though...sorry. It had sort of split so you could feel the frame on the drivers seat (right side). Got it done asap before the seat cover got a hole in it.

I have the same problem with mine, hoping I can scramble the money together for a retrim and hopefully they can repad the bolster

Yea I think this is exactly what the problem is. Think there is a small hole somewhere too now! Cover doesn't appear to be too pricey on ebay, it just looks out of place in a 5 year old car.

There's some new seat covers on Ebay at the moment .
