Beware of this seller on EBAY!

This is a link to the items they are selling:

PERFORMANCE PADDLE CLUTCH KIT FLYWHEEL GOLF GT TDI 150 on eBay (end time 19-Sep-09 15:07:47 BST)

Problems with the kit are:

1. remanufactured bog standard pressure plate

2. Non genuine release bearings

3. 100% FAKE friction plate

4. Company gets very argumentitive when confronted with the truth

I have a kit here in front of me, the centre of a Sachs friction disc has been used (remanufactured by the looks of it, definitely not new) with some cheap plate metal riveted onto it and some very ropey looking friction pads which arent even riveted on straight. The friction material is chipped and dirty, rivets are off centre, disc is not flat, and worst of all there is less friction material than an OE disc. Its thickness is 2mm lower than OE and it has just 0.6mm of material before the rivets would catch the flywheel and/or pressure plate.

I ahve informed Sachs UK and their competition sales department in the UK, both have confirmed that the items are fake. I am not a member on many forums but believe that people should know before buying and fitting these items to their vehicles. Maybe this should be posted on other forums?

A.

Email eBay, too

suprised as they have great feedback record..

Trouble with that seller is because they are using private auctions, its impossible to see what they are getting neg feedback about. They have one this month for example. which proclaims to have been left for the wrong seller/item. How are we to know thats true if the item the feedback has been left for cannot be looked at.

Wow this is really bad, even if sachs have confirmed it is not an original part. And even the price isnt exactly a "to good to be true price" to give an indication of something fishy. What made you assume the clutch kit wasnt to scratch??
