New, real world pictures of Skoda Superb Combi!!

Featured Replies

Looks absolutely stunning and will hopefully sell to those who would love an A6 but just can't justify (or afford!) one.

Looks nothing like a Fabia or a Golf. Looks very BMW 5 Series or Audi A6 IMHO and I think this will be a stormer. What they >should< do now is offer the 2.5 TDI engine and that would make one hell of a good tow car.

agreed as above...if you want to offer it as a premium marque make a premium engine available for it

the engines exist within the VAG group but maybe audi would be reluctant to make their larger diesels available for it as it may then eat into the A6 market share

drop the 3.0 diesel in there and what a car you would have!

its certainly a handsome car

Even Audi though are looking to drop the larger 'V' engines and replace them with 4 cylinders. They are working on making them sound more sophisticated apparantly to match the burble of a V engine.

Check back at 7pm today for more information :)

Not sold tbh, mind you if it was a Merc or Beemer I'd say the same, large estate cars don't get me Haaaaaaard I'm afraid :D

:rofl::D:P

Wow and WOW. Any Skoda jokes left are now 1000ft under! My Next car!

A vRS Superb would be nice, or even a vRS Superb coupe.

There was a strong rumor this would be the case. News from Frankfurt does not jump up and down about a dedicated vRS option, but a 3.6FSI at 380BHP is quite sporty. there is also a 1.8FSI, see site news.

The Combi certainly improves on the one significant saloon/hatch styling weakness, namely the rear aspect.

I like it and there is a part of me that thinks it could make its way on to my new car list, however there is another part of me that says I don't own enough stuff to transport in it

However I'm sure antiques dealers right across the country are rubbing their hands at the prospect of something that'll carry more than a Volvo V70, is cheaper to buy and run and is a classless brand in this age of austerity.

Our German friends from skodacommunity.de found the Combi's official prospect. Minor problem: it's in Czech... Who can find an English version and some more technical details? :rotz:

Here ya go:

That's a neat looking car indeed, I'm so jealous of the electric boot and keyless go! :D

Now that did look nice in the spotlight, much better than plain old static pictures, I'd say Mercedes has something to worry about now.

I REALLY like that:cool:

Check out the video I posted of the car,no key just push the button to start

Wouldnt happen till the Passat R36 gets more power unfortunatly, I dont think we'd see anything past 300bhp

Me want one :)

3.6fsi is plenty I reckon.

Still, don`t have a cow, man.....:D

Well another vote here for "looks better than the saloon/hatch".

Theoretically this could be cheaper to produce than the hatch on grounds of no complex twindoor mechanism etc...?

  • 2 weeks later...

I like my Octavia estate to bits. I considered the original Superb before buying the Octavia but had to dismiss it because personally I don't like the practicality of a saloon. When the new Superb is launched with the twindoor, that becomes appealing to me. I took my Octavia to the dealer for a checkup this morning and look at the Superb while I waited. The rear legroom is simply impressive:thumbup:and more comfortable! Someone reckons it looks ugly:confused: but I strongly disagree. I so look forward to the launch of the Superb estate. The bad news is: it will be a long wait for me before my next change is due:(.

My next car :D

No one has state the obvious its HUUUUUUUUGE lol
