I'll be fitting my 312mm brakes soon and from what I've heard the standard fit brake hoses on the Fab are a little tight when fitted and the TT ones that come with the kit are a little long . My local Goodridge dealer reckons he can get some custom made so what I want to know is how much longer than the Fabia ones would be the perfect length.

On an Ibiza with 312mm fronts they just use the same 510mm hose as is on the Fabia.

Its only the Ibiza with the 4-pot AP calipers that has a different hose.

I personally think the std ones are fine

Yep, no probs with mine on the standard hoses (famous last words...)

I`m using the std ones, at first my mate wanted to use the longer ones, but i ordered them, and had to wait 4 days. got impatiant so had a look and decided the std ones were perfectly fine. Still not collected my longer ones yet lol

I paid about a billion pounds for TT hoses from an Audi dealer so if you can get away with the standard ones then I say do it!

using standard on mine for about 12 months no problems had a brake fluid change a while ago and no problems mentioned by mechanic

to make a little bit of slack with the standard hoses , loosen the 10mm bolt holding the pipe bracket to the shocker then move the bracket down a bit, retighten the bolt

To answer the other part of your question, the TT ones do not seem too long in the slightest.

Although, to be fair, I didn't try the standard ones on it!

Standard are fine on mine.
