Hi everyone, I am a driving instructor and I use a 06 Fabia vRS for lessons. The ASR light comes on after 10 mins and resets when I turn the car off. I did get the codes checked but I can't remember them, they referred to the alternator and the ecu I think, any ideas?

mine was doing this, but i think i had a low signal reading on the vag com, and it was just a loose wire.

any idea which wire it was?

I had the same problem with my 54 plate,wire had snapped somewhere from alternator to ecu,took sparky an hour to fix it.

mine also was traced to cabling fault from alternator to ECU - 30 mins @ main dealer= £30 not bad for a fault I spent hours trying to cure
