How many vRS's were made?

Featured Replies

Fabia and Octavia Mk1's. Any way of finding out manufactured numbers for other makes and models too, and also how many are left?

Probably a big no to the last question due to data protection laws, as if it' has to be that secretive ey?

I was at a classic car show last Sunday near Blackburn (Houghton Tower), and there was a Viva HB there, apparently one of only six left on the road.

Couldn't find the owner to ask him how he knew that though.

I helped manufacture bloody thousands of them back in the late 60's too, probably all with dodgy heaters and headlamps! :P

Damn, I'd have taken the Rallye to that if I'd know it was on, only 20 mins from me.

Don't forget the knackered clutches. I had one as my first car (bought for £75 in a mess, me and my Dad spent a couple of weeks replacing wings and sills and rebuilding the engine) it was such a simple car, and you could fix any fault on the engine with a hammer and a selection of cutlery!

Funnily enough, that's all they gave us in the factory to build them, then we had to use the same implements in the canteen! :P

This example on sunday was in pale blue, but he'd painted the sills, bottom of the doors and wheel arch edges gloss black, and it didn't appear that he'd done that to hide any rust either, daft sod. Completely spolied a very tidy looking example.

3 posts, and this has gone a bit of topic now ey? Is this a record? :D

Email Skoda in the Czech Rep and they should be able to find out production figures for you. Had dealings with the PR dept over there and they are a great bunch.
