Not being funny, but are you using it in the correct manner? I thought mine was crap until my Mum read the manual for her Fel, and informed me of my lack of understanding of Skoda's genius.

Switch the wipers on then off. Once you need another sweep put them to the intermittent position and they'll then use the same interval before sweeping again. Pure genius and infinitely adjustable, not like the fiddly thing on the Fabia where you use a little wheel on top of the stalk to choose between three presets.

If you go straight to intermittent you'll usually get just one sweep and a very long pause before the next.

It is indeed pure genius. Pity I spent a year saying that mine was "crap and random" before I was shown the light!

Then of course, there is the light:) How many of us have been fooled by the headlight switch - sidelights must be on before this will work. I only ever use the sidelight switch now and leave the headlight switch on so both come on with the one switch.

(Again the Fabia doesn't seem as good on light switches either, tucked out of sight down alongside the steering column instead of in plain view. It has a similar bank of central switches but in mine all but one is blank.)

yep, took me a while to work this out as well.

this is the reason cars come with - a manual

Not to mention that the lights on warning will sound if the rear fog lamp switch is left in the on position when the lights are off. A good way of not forgetting them and to avoid annoying drivers behind you on the next clear night.
