Downpipe

Featured Replies

Hi peeps

Whats the advantage of buying a 3" downpipe over a 2.5" downpipe. I'm after a whole new exhaust system and was looking at the 3" miltek downpipe but fitting a piper cat back exhaust which is only 2.5"

Thanks

personally I dont think there will be much in it mate, if you gettin the 200cell cat too go for the 3" as backpressure wont be a problem.

thanks for the quick reply mate, Can you interchange exhaust manufacturers or is it best to stick with the same one? I'm not even sure if the piper will fit onto the Milltek downpipe.

with adapters it will mate,

PM GarryC mate he works for Piper iirc, I would say they are all able to be used together but dont think they will help you if the tail doesnt sit right.

I looked into both sizes before i got my exhaust.Milltek did both 2.5" and 3" at the time, but the 2.5" was more expensive.

The 2.5" is better suited if your not going for a bigger turbo just stage 1 or 2.

I'm going to go 2.5" :)
