I've found a nice food pub The Punch Bowl, Thorne that's just off J6 M18.

This is within easy reach of Doncaster, Hull, York, Sheffield, Leeds, Grimsby, Lincoln .... so who'd be up for it?

I was thinking of a Saturday midday meet, I took a little circular tour some of the country lanes the other day, a route of 34miles took an hour, but I'm not exactly Sebastien Loeb, then back to the pub for nosh. I think the pub would be too busy on a Sunday lunch.

The Pub manager rang me yesterday asking for me to pay the deposit for the room hire ????

I explained we were just an informal car club, we're happy to meet in the bar, it looks like the person that had put it in the diary thought it was some kind of business meeting.

I reminded them of the previous meet, 11am coffee & map reading, 12pm rally stage (sorry, scenic rural drive), 1pm nosh! She said the pub are happy to host us again.

Remember it's this coming Saturday, any thoughts as to why this thread is so quiet this time by the way?

I'm trying to drag a newbie VRS owner along too so we should hopefully get double figures.
