Let me introduce you to Bamboo our pet rabbit

Featured Replies

Bamboo is our current pet, and he's a house rabbit.

He likes nothing more than tucking in to a juicy leaf of savoy cabbage.

Everybody say aaaaaaaah !

That's better! :)

Cheers Sim - I knew that was what he meant - he was just too embarassed to admit it

Nothing wrong with giving him a Cuddle

Makes the neck break easier as it lulls him into a false sense of Security :D

Oh my god, you're brave! My Conti Giant chews everything! His complete favourite is wires, he just seems to like the rubbery coating. He has managed to eat through the wire on the pressure washer, the old lawn mower, the washing machine that was spare in the garage, the wire for the water feature, the leg of his own hutch, a chair in the garage and the barbeque cover lol. He does hop into the house now and then, but he is watched at all times! Not his fault, he's a rabbit, thats what they do. But I don't think I'd ever brave having a house rabbit....not while I value the contents of my house anyway!

When I say house rabbit - he's allowed to roam the kitchen unsupervised, as it's a tile floor with no wires. He's only allowed in the front room under supervision, just in case he tries nibbling anything electrical. Plus he's nowhere near the size of yours, Loz. He's just a standard lop, possibly even a dwarf (the shop weren't too sure).

Getting close up was no problem, because once he's got hold of his cabbage nothing else matters !

Little beggar is currently malting shed loads of fur and it gets everywhere, but he's pretty well toilet-trained, and doesn't cost a lot to run.

Have you got any recent shots of yours ?

They still have gnawing little teeth though lol! Seriously, keep an eye out because once they get a taste for it thats it! haha!

I will get a shot of me cuddling Acer later so you can see his size now. He still isn't as big as his dad though, but maybe he never will be, who knows? lol

I got a giant house rabbit, and she has the run of the house. She will chew wires but we just keep them out of the way and she has plenty of toys to play with to keep her busy.

He's a cute looking rabbit Brimma. I find rabbits are good at eating, so they seem to do it a lot!

Our whole house has been newly decorated and kitted out etc, so can't really risk the amount of damage Acebun could do with those gnashers! Aside from the fact he'd prob electrocute himself. He's good at jumping on windowsills and alsorts, so can't even keep them out of the way. Many of the wires he's managed to chew were hidden from him! The washer wire was ontop of the washer under a sheet!! The fountain wire was on the windowsill in the garage. He's crazy I swear lol. He's allowed int he kitchen as there's nothing he can do in there really, except eat the dogs biscuits....which yes, he does....

Here is Ace bun as a baby when I got him..... all scared and baby-like at 10 weeks old

Here he is this afternoon! lol. About 8 months old.

Lol, I don't notice how big he is really. I have loads of better pics, but you can't tell the size of him unless you pick him up lol

His other favourite pastime, when he isn't eating, is skulking away and hiding underneath the kitchen radiator

All I can say is that his 'currant' levels are quite high :D

I was sat here thinking what you may come up with, and you never fail to impress with your whit matey! LOL.

I thought the currant levels were what piled up at the other end though?

Come to think of it, Loz's rabbit 'Ace' would probably produce currants that look like the poppet sweets!

Sorry i'll get my coat, i've lowered the tone :rotz:
