Won't bore you with the "between before and after" shots, but

Well - It was easy enough to copy/paste in the whole thing from another thread, so here we go:

This was the offside caliper on arrival. Yuck!

So, the first process was to scratch off all the flaky paint. This was done using the light touch of a sharp flat bladed screwdriver. This was the rtesult after

Next step was a fairly thorough rub down with some damp 1200grit wet & dry sandpaper. Ensured the paint being lacquered over was clean. It was also washed thoroughly

Already not looking too bad without the lacquer process even started yet

All masked off ready for the lacquer to be applied. I was using VAG oem lacquer from a rattle-can.

Before I started though I was a little worried about some chips on the top of the caliper, around the top bolt and right on top.

But using some bright red metal paint from the garage soon masked over it, despite not being the best colour match it was a good improvement

So the first coat of lacquer went on

Then a second

Then a third....

And finally, the finished product, which I was really happy with, given what we had both had to start with.

And with the anthracite LCR oem 18" wheels back over them

You left them on? That's different :D

Great job, looks spanking new :D

New car or someone elses?

Looks really nice. :D
