Remapping & induction Kits

Featured Replies

Hi

Just brought a mk1 VRS Octavia 05 plate I want to remap it & have heard that Jabba Sport is the place to go. Is there any place in Leics or is Jabba that good I should go there. Also want a induction air kit can anyone tell how much they are & which one to go for??

Thanks

G Unit:)

Hello and welcome :wavey:

Have a look at the Octy forum, there's loads on there about where to go for remaps and which induction kit to go for. Also have a look at the Performance tuning & parts forum, you'll find shark, jabba and loads more on there.

Most people go for the Evolution Motorsport (EVOMS) or Neuspeed kit. I have the Neuspeed one and I think it made a noticeable difference, but make sure you get one that goes down into the bumper instead of sucking hot air in from the engine bay.

I'm up in Mansfield if I can be of any help to you :D

Oooh , now I like the Carbonio.......just to add another to the mix.

But hey

As has been said , it is a great forum for getting help

Best thing to do is a bit of research

Use the search button at the top , or has been said , try in the Octavia 1 section

Then just ask more questions if you get stuck

Sarah

Welcome. Jabba are great :)

Hiya.

If you go to the Site Sponsors section, you'll see a number of companies who do remaps, including Awesome (hi Sarah) and Jabba. I know Jabba do work through agents if their base is too much of a haul for you.

Hi Ken

Yes , there are quite a few companies on here that have an excellent reputation , and believe me , that is good to know

You're new here, so you maybe didn't realise, but Sarah actually works for AwesomeGTi, and comes on as part of her job. (hence the username [although it suits her, she is], and all the branding for her avatar, signature etc)

Hi

Bless Ken did mention , I work for one of the sponsors of this great forum

So it is like asking Tesco if Sainsbury`s is any good

But to be fair my dear , it is such a great forum , there will be many people on here that have used them

I always think that a bit of research before parting with your money is a very very good thing

You have started with the best way , and that is being here to start with

So I would say , use the search button at the top of the page

Search for all types of maps , induction kits , tyres , anything

I love my job , and love to go to shows etc

I can assure you I have spoke to 99.9% of the guys within the tuning game ooh and Kate (JKM) so I am not the only female ;)

There are many many clever people about and helpfull

So I can say , look to what the companies offer and make sure that is what you need and are looking for

Good reports tend to come back to here as well as bad points

It helps with you being able to ask questions too , so if you dont find what your looking for , just ask

Good luck and enjoy the modding lark , it is great ;)

Hi

Also does a remap eat fuel if so is it alot?

Thanks

G Unit

HI

Daft as it may seem , the remap can give better fuel economy

That is because of the extra torque....you are excellerating less and cruising more

So driven like for like , yes better MPG too ;)

Sarah

Welcome to the site

Those posts will probably be more comprehensively answered in the Octavia I forum.
