My new Roomster has vanished!!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

We just returned from two weeks holiday with the expectation that our new Roomster ordered 12 weeks ago would be ready for collection. There was a message on our answer phone from the dealership asking us to ring them... great I thought... it's ready.

Not so... the explanation was that Skoda had built the wrong spec car ... no panoramic sunroof ect. So we were given two options, re-order at the same cost (apparently prices went up last week) with another 12 week wait, or accept another Roomster that is somwhere else in the country with different interior trim to our order. (The second option comes with a £200 cash back as an apology.) The wait for the second option will be about three weeks.

I don't really mind about the trim colour, but I am a bit concerned that we are ending up with someone elses refused order. Does anyone think that Skoda would make a mistake like that, or has my car been sold to someone else?

I hope that I am just being a bit paranoid and that it was a genuine mistake.

Regards,

Ian

Wait for the car you want and get the dealer to give you a loaner if you're selling yours.

If you take a car that isn't what you ordered then you'll be :( about it at some point.

FWIW what happened to option 3, of have your car without the panoramic roof?

Thanks for the replies, we collect the new replacement car on Saturday morning with a complimentary interior bike carrier included. All's well that ends well.
