Hmmm , are they any good , I wonder.

At that price I may give them a go

Why not use the full size bulbs instead of lidl ones...

Ber-dum-tish...

Actually, that made me chuckle! :)

I bought a couple of sets of the H1 +50% bulbs today and I've just fitted them in my Bravo.

Fairly obviously I couldn't do a three way comparison between a standard bulb , a Lidl +50% and a branded +50% but there's a definite improvement on what came from the factory.

The light is noticably brighter with a whiter colour and for £4 a set I think it's money will spent. I expect a Philips or Osram might have been a little bit better but at four times the price you'd hope so.

Well worth calling in and grabbing some.

I've gone through 4 since April!

How

Buy a decent set of bulbs that last

Whenever I'm driving, they're on, plus coming home/leaving home lights.... so I probably get a years average headlight usage in a cuppla weeks! ;)

You using the +80/90% bulbs?

If so switch back to the +50% for a much longer life. I typically seem 9 months from the 80%/90% and 18 months from the +50%.

If you don't mind the +30% bulbs they lasted for 4 years in another car and didn't need replacing.

Yes sir, will do sir! ...anyway, I have done - these Lidl bargains! :P

Nah just cheap n cheerful Ring H7's from the car shop up the road... 2 blew within hours of each other back in April then a cuppla weeks ago one went so replaced them both with cheapo Rings again.

I don't do much night driving anyway... but seriously abuse my headlights - ten mins ago I took a bag out to the dustbin - blipped the remote to turn my lights on so I could see down the drive to where the bin is!

Ahh I dislike ring bulbs, as they used to blow one me all the time.

Saying that I've not used them in years now, so i might well be well out of date.
