strange behavior

Hello guys,

Finally i could solve the rpm hunting on idle problem in my car. now i have noticed the following. when im running no matters at what speed, and i lift the accelerator to let the engine reduce the speed of the car. i can sense how the car slows down by pulses, just as if i was engaging / disengaging the clutch on a MT. also i can see the rpms go up and down along with the pulse. when the car is at full stop the engine idles steady at 850 rpms.

Some times i can also feel the pulses slightly on the accel pedal if i let my foot just over it.

any advice?

hi, i had a similar problem on my octavia, when only applying very light throttle you could feel the car jerking slightly. i gave the throttle body a good clean and the problem dissapeared. worth a try as its an easy 10min job, just order a new gasket and don't un plug the throttle body and you'll be ok!

thats assuming you have the 1.8 petrol turbo?
