I have a red face lift Fabia Vrs (06) and the door handles are black. There is a red 56 plate on the Skoda website for sale and it has has painted handles yet on the same site there is an 07 plate in red with Black handles, I'm rather :confused:

Could the 07 plate be a library picture?

Could it not be someone painted them?

Seen a 53 plate sport by me with them pained.

One thing I'd really like is to have my door handles colour coded (silver) BUT I think it'll be a complete nightmare to remove them, paint them and re-fit them!

...Best to get some door handles from a scrapyard and prep and spray them, and see how they look - or get a body shop to do it, then fit them, thats what Im doing.

if you look on the skoda used web site there's loads with painted door handles.......Lemon yellow No............Sprint Yellow Yes

why not just find a scrapped Octavia MKI with colour coded handles n just fit them same part number

I put MKIII Golf ones on the wifes fabia

Think I even have a set that I strated painting in the workshop before I thought sod it and just bought the Golf ones.

If you went to a body shop to get them done, do you think they'd take them off, paint them and re-fit them?

Just don't feel that confident of removing them!

Better off getting some spare ones from a scrapyard and then getting them painted and use someone who knows what they're doing to fit them (speaking from experience after I tried fitting my painted handles myself and it went "a bit wrong" )

mines are painted (facelift, 54 plate) but i had them done at a bodyshop, i thought all 05 plate onwards came painted.

Mine has painted handles but it's an SE so not sure if it's because of that. I do know my mums 51 doesn't have them painted.

Could it just be different build dates Vs Registration dates?

Perhaps Skoda stocked up on the vRS after the initial launch when demand went up (I was told that the guy who bought mine new said there was a waiting list, and just happened to see mine coming of the truck to be a demonstrator.. but put a decent offer in for it)..

Mine is an 06 vRS and they are unpainted. The only cars ive seen with factory painted handles are the SEs?
