New boy, owns two Skodas!

Featured Replies

Hello all.

I am a Driver Trainer in Reading, using a Fabia SDi for teaching, its my 3rd one in a row.

Had them for nine years, not one breakdown apart from a shattered clutch, which was my fault. Too mean to replace it when I knew it was completely worn out!

Have just bought my wife a 98 Octavia TDi SLX 110, lovely!

Have already found this forum invaluable as it had what seems to be a common problem with the immobiliser read coil. A post on here told me which £5 part fixes it!

Next job is to find a cheap and easy way to get a second key made. We only had one supplied when we bought it, we dont have the tag with the key codes. Either someone on the forum has already given me the answer, or i am sure that somebody will.

My own area of expertise is Advanced Driver Training and particularly Eco safe Driving.

I spent many years working for a Bosch Agency, fixing injection/ignition/ABS systems etc and am a time served and qualified Motor Vehicle Technician.

Happy to answer any questions in any of those areas, if I can!

Best wishes to all Skoda owners, we know something that they dont, dont we!

Hello and welcome :)
