I figured it was you when a slightly foreign sounding person came up and started talking about JKM. Kind of put 2 & 2 together.

Well, yeah... 20" BBS and AP brakes = car porn. :D Just a shame that they were on a Beetle, but each to their own.

The owner has had those wheels for a long time now, around 4 years I reckon, they are still in mint condition so guess they aren't dailies or the car isn't a daily...............

It gets trailored everywhere dude.

They normally roll it off the trailor about a mile from the event so it looks like it's driven there

No problem, mate. Just PM me an email that can handle 5+mb file attachments. :)

Are they seriously 20"s on the beetle? Thought they were 19"s? Sweet wheels though.

Nice car, yours! I really liked the wheels. When I was taking the pics I was looking for the owner to say hello, but you were nowhere to be seen. So, hello. :)

Wow at the Superb on Bentley rims -     That looks stunning!

Octavia Estate slammed = fail, big fat fail.

Octavia Estate slammed = fail, big fat fail.

Why do you say that? Looks pretty slick to me............ :p

A few people haven't liked that car, it's OK but I'm not crazy about it somehow. I think maybe we're just not used to seeing mk2 Octy estates tucking so much rim? Maybe we're subconciously reminded of Citroen BX estates?

I just don't see the point. It cant possibly be driven, i have a deep rooted hatred of good cars ruined by being slammed to the floor, it looks plain wrong to me. i like some gap between the wheel and the wheel arch. I have seen lots of cars with huge rims, like the Superb there with the Bentley wheels = perfect example, where it just looks so right. Now if he were to be of the VW mentality and slam it to the ground and the wheels were up in the car's innards somewhere, some would call it cool and suchlike, where in my opinion it would totally ruin it. Like the Octavia Estate. Nice wheels, would look great with some ride height. Slammed it just looks stupid to me. Each to their own. If everything was the same it would be dull etc.

It cant possibly be driven

Tell him that, he managed to get from Belgium to Telford in it

At that ride height? Exactly as pictured? I think not. He wouldnt have got on/off the ferry/train.

I guess that's the final summary really as it's true..................for me 'slamming' a car completely changes it's road presence into something so much better.............

Where there is a will there is a way, what you have to bear in mind is that although the wheels look tucked up into the arches as they are 20's it has raised the sump area meaning it's not problem to get on things such as ferries, trust me , I know..........

Is there something about the concept of air suspension you dont understand?

And i definetly wouldnt have called that octavia a fail, i just would say the superb was better.

yeah was gutted i missed it Si but mothers day previaled!

n he shudn b buyin nits he is supposed to be leaving the country in a few weeks lol
