just wonderiung if any one can tell me wat oil to use in my 1997 skoda felicia as im wanting to do an oil change, i was told 15-40 but ive also been told 20-50 so im not sure

As fas as I can tell:

10w-40 Semi Synthetic - Petrol 1.3 - 1.6

5w-40 Semi Synthetic - Diesel 1.9

That's according to the "Oil Finder" over at Opie Oils.

We use standard (i.e. not Magnatec) Castrol GTX in my wife's 1.4MPi, which has the same engine to all intents and purposes. ISTR it being listed somewhere but I can't think where. I wouldn't have picked it at random, though. It's fairly cheap, and available virtually everywhere...

Opie are usually correct. Question probably better on the Favorit, Felicia et al forum though?
