Got 60 litres of diesel in my car today!

Featured Replies

Although having said that, it was in a bone dry 330d (E46) I am having the pleasure of using at the moment..... By my calcs this car is doing roughly 45 to the gallon, with £63 of diesel (at 105.9) looking to give it a range close to 600 miles. Not bad for a lardy 6 cylinder motorway mile muncher  Got rain sensing wipers, climate, smooth cruise, does 2100rpm @ 70mph. I'm liking it. Also liking the "nearly" 200bhp and ooodles of torque. :o

I love those 330d's.

I used to have a standard 328i, which has ~198bhp, which is about the same as a 330d. My mates 330d would run rings around it, unless i rang the nuts of mine.

Id love to get my hands on a 335d, as they are supposed to be absolutely fabulous.

Diesels expensive down your way, I paid 102.9 a couple of days ago and then had another 5p off a litre from that price courtesy of Tesco.

By me it varies from 102.9 to 105.9.

I've given up worrying about the odd penny here and there as it makes such a tiny difference to the overall cost of running a car.

Even if the price were to rise by 5pence that is only 1.50 a week for me now so £60 odd quid a year - so I'm pretty much in the same boat as you Mr Zoidberg :)

Over the last 3 weeks the 5p off a litre at tesco has saved me over £10, for they year thats well over £120 less.

Dearly wanted a 330d but wasn't willing to pay £14k for something that had done a lot of miles and interior looked like a bomb had gone off.

That was a main dealer though.
